Each thought has to make its way around this loop in order to be a formed thought. It keeps going around until the thought no longer has a thinker.
The thought loop occurs within the blink of an eye. A million thought loops occur in the time that it takes to realize a thought.
Thought loops are synchronized. All thoughts in one person's head and all thoughts in all people's heads occur in sychronized loops.
Sometimes, A thought becomes detached from its original thinker. Here are several paths a loose thought can take:
Thought loss: a thought may altogether evaporate. This can be experienced as the sudden disappearance of thought altogether from ones head, more abrupt and absolute than what is commonly referred to as "losing ones train of thought". Instead of one of many thoughts being lost, the continunity of the aggregate thought content of a thinker is stopped altogether.
Thought transferrence: when a thought is reattached onto a foreign thinker, which happens in several different ways. In this case, a thought escapes the loop at a particular beat and enters a random person's thought loop in that beat. Because thought loops are synchronized and thoughts move infinitely quickly, a thought can travel to another loop without losing any of itself in the process.
I have observed this to occur under several conditions:
One is a state of heightened affective activity, when someone produces a strong thought.
Another is when a thought is being ruminated upon for a particularly long time. Because there is a chance (the probability of which I have not determined) of a thought escaping a loop every time the loop occurs, the many loops produced by a thought persisting for a long period of time would heighten the possibility of a momentary lapse.
In this case, someone may quickly regain the thought because they retain some memory of having thought it before they lost it, and when it enters another person's head, that person may think of the foreign thought for a few moments, at least to remark on its unfamiliarity. In this case, true telepathy has been achieved, as two people are simultaneously thinking a thought which has been transferred.
The thought is not identical in most cases, thought, because the second thinker reflexively perceives the thought entering their head and then being thought. It is only thought in the frame of reflexivity.
A situation in which telepathy is pure is one in which both the first and second thinker have achieved a trance state. The pulsating of this trance state is the rhythmic motion of thought loops in their purest state. When one is not acting upon their time loops at all, in a state of extreme clearheadedndss, they can perceive external thoughts that have entered their loop without ever thinking or identifying them at all, or thinking about thinking them. Thus, two leople would at once be thinking a completely identical thought.
I will elaborate on how one can achieve this trance in another post.
Dream thoughts often slip off the loop. "Dream logic" is the logic of thought where thought slippage is abundant. In this sense, dreaming is like ice skating because thought slippage is like thinking on ice. There is much less friction to help you stay grounded in dreams.
You may find that if you share your dreams with other people you will have experienced similar themes during the same night, or even the same event, because the thought slippage that occurs makes dream sharing possible or even likely. This literal sharing of thought and experience can make it easier to understand those with which you live in proximity, because dream thoughts are sluggish and they tend not to travel long distances, whereas affective thoughts often strike people very far away from the thinker due to their high velocity.
